2016 Itinerary

Dates: Saturday 30 July 2016 to Monday 15 August 2015

Itinerary:

• Sunday 31 July to Thursday 4 Aug:  Cheltenham College, Cheltenham.  Rehearsals in a lovely boarding school in a quiet provincial Gloucestershire town, on the edge of the Cotswolds and just about an hour's drive from Oxford 
  • Mystery Tour on Tuesday 2 Aug after a brief but intense rehearsal
  • Day-trip to Bristol on Wednesday 3 August to sing evensong at Bristol Cathedral

• Thursday 4 Aug to Sunday 7 Aug: Keble College, Oxford
  • Day-trip to Windsor on Friday 5 Aug to sing evensong at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle
  • Compline in the Magdalen College Chapel Sunday evening

• Monday 8 Aug to Monday 15 Aug: Sarum College, Salisbury. Singing daily services at Salisbury Cathedral

Sample of Highlights:

• On Tuesday 2 Aug there will be our infamous Mystery Tour. Of course there is nothing we can tell you about that tour now or the fun will be spoiled. But if you remember past Mystery Tours (e.g., visit to falconry in Scotland, Aberlour distillery, cream tea on a steam train, ferry ride to Iona) you know they are not to be missed!

• Friday 5 Aug will see us sing Evensong at the historic St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.  An incredibly rare opportunity to sing where William Harris was organist and where Henry VIII rests

• From 8th to 14th Aug we will sing daily evensongs at Salisbury Cathedral. Thursday is the “dumb day” where choir members will be free to do their own sight seeing. Maybe you will want to visit Stonehenge?

• On our final Sunday, after singing the (gloriously big) Eucharist and Evensong services, we will have our traditional Talent Show where laughing is the main activity.
